Some views on Faith

Study of Sins of Israel will show that the nature of people have not changed much even after 4000 years.

They were always murmuring and cursing. They were never content or happy with what God had provided them.

Uncontrolled desires. They had desires which came between God and themselves.

Greed.  They had desire for what they really did not need. They desired for things of others. They became slaves to their desires.

They were always backsliding. They could not stick to their faith in God.

They were double minded and were not firm in their convictions. They were unstable and did not have strength of conviction.

They were a discontented lot. They were not happy with what they had. They did not learn to be happy and contented, with whatever they had and in whichever circumstances they were in, without strong faith in God.

They provoked God to anger by repeated sins.

They did not learn to be obedient and not to challenge or question God.

They ran away from responsibilities. They were reluctant to accept challenge and be responsibilities. They always doubted God’s power and grace or have faith and trust in God. They did not appreciate the mercies of God. They took everything they had for granted and was not grateful to the Lord. They forgot that every little things they had and the fact that they were alive, was by the grace of the Lord.

Are we any different today??.

Can we trust in the God who made each one of us and everything in the universe?

Can we control our selfish desires and greed?

Can we be content with what we have and appreciate every small blessings we have, in all circumstances?

Do we not have doubts about God`s car ?

Unless we make changes in the above, we will not  get a positive outlook, peace of mind and can not be happy, in our life.

These are some of my thoughts, on how to be happy and contended, based on our faith.
