Plastics and non degradable waste products.
Today plastic is in wide use in products we use, from bottled water, Computers to Automobiles, Airplanes etc. This is a fact of life, which can not be solved, at local level by banning it’s use or other legal measures. The solution is to find how it can be reused or modify them, to cause less damage to the environment. A method of collection, segregation and grading them (easier at the source in our homes), is the essential first step, we can take. The sad fact is that we are not even taking this first step, but only blame the Government and civic bodies and they try to enforce impractical restrictions. There are many good models in our own country, which we can follow, if the authorities can be persuaded to have the political will to impliment them. All plastics could be reused or reprocessed, in so many different ways, if segregated and collected. We should cooperate with authorities, to impliment suitable options, in our own self interest.
